Along with formal education, committed to social responsibility, various facilities are available in the Samstha to provide the necessary support to girls and women. Working women’s Hostels, Hostels for school going and college going girls help many girls from rural areas to stay in a safe environment and pursue their dream education. In association with the Bal Kalyan Samiti, Samstha runs CWC for orphaned and afflicted girls for many years.
Visava is a flagship project of Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha run under Baya Karve Women’s Study and Research Centre. Visava- one stop help centre provides Legal assistance, and Psycho-social counseling facility free of cost* to victims of domestic violence and other types of abuse. Any woman who needs help can approach the centre.
Today women are working in all spheres of society. However, despite this, the issue of women’s safety still remains constant. Many girls and women face verbal, financial and mental harassment along with physical harassment at home as well as at the workplace. At such times they need legal advice, counseling and support.

Keeping in mind the need for an umbrella help center where all this help can be provided at one place, the organization has started a help center ‘Visava’ for the victimized women and girls from July 2021. Till date 68 women have benefited from this help center.
In addition to helping the victimized women, we conduct various awareness programs at community level and self-defense training for girls and women to reduce the amount of atrocities and empower women.
We plan to launch various supportive initiatives and are open for collaborations under this banner
