Consultative Seminar on “Quality of Life & Women Empowerment: The Indian Perspective” dated 27th & 28th February 2021. It was a joint venture by Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha’s Baya Karve Women’s Study & Research Centre & Drishti Stree Adhyayan Prabodhan Kendra.

The Consultative seminar aimed at conceptualizing the components of Quality of life & Women empowerment in Indian perspective. The gracious presence of renowned experts Padmabhushan Dr.Ashok Kukkade, Padmashri Girish Prabhune, Padmashri Dr. Kshama Metre, Padmashri Dr.Nivedita Bhide were a great contribution to this work. Also there was addition of many experts & participants prominently working in their respective fields of expertise. The Consultative Seminar worked as a platform for Experts, Activists from various fields to discuss the concept of Quality of life & Women empowerment and determine its variables in Indian perspective.

The objective of the seminar was to explore & study these variables in Indian perspective. Also to surface the current standing, challenges and advancements relating to these variables.

Publications:

As an extension of this work, a publication of Book of Proceedings was introduced. The book is a compilation of proceedings of the sessions held in the Consultative seminar along with the discussion pointers.
